Special Invitation

A CFS Health Mentor is someone we’ve witnessed being a wonderful contributor inside our Mentorship Program. Someone who enjoys helping others, naturally inspires those around them, and has a natural ability to offer support and encouragement.

A CFS Health Mentor is here to inspire, encourage, and direct.

We know you’ve put in the hard work to get to where you are today. Your journey and what you’ve learned along the way can have a powerful impact on others who are a few steps behind you.

A CFS Health Mentor supports members through their lived experience, insights, and encouragement - from a place of “I’ve been there. I get it.”

Above all, a CFS Health Mentor is a cheerleader, there to help others feel encouraged, understood, and hopeful on their recovery journey.

What a Mentor Receives...

Contribution

Contribution

Becoming a CFS Health Mentor gives you the opportunity to contribute to those starting the same path you once did. Your experience, perspective, and health journey hold valuable wisdom to those who are a few steps behind you.

Support

Support

You know by now...we’re not going to leave you on your own! As a CFS Health Mentor, you’ll have access to the support, community, and resources you need to feel confident and equipped in your role.

You’ll be welcomed into our private Mentors Facebook Group, where you can connect with other mentors, share experiences, ask questions, and reach out for advice when you need it.

You’ll also have access to mentor-specific trainings and FAQs designed to help you feel confident and prepared as you step into your role.

Complimentary Mentorship and LI Access

Complimentary Mentorship & LI Access

We love having you as part of the CFS Health community—and we want to continue supporting you on your own journey, too.

As a CFS Health Mentor, you’ll receive full, complimentary access to both the Mentorship Program and Lifestyle Integration Program for as long as you’re a mentor.

Here’s what we need from you...

This isn’t a demanding role. We want to make sure it works with your lifestyle, because we know you have a life to be living too! So we’ve kept things short and simple.

Here’s what the Mentor role would look like:

  • Jump inside the Mentorship Facebook group 2–3 times per week, 30–90 minutes total to like posts, leave encouraging comments, cheer members on, and share relevant program videos or trainings based on what members are sharing.
  • Welcome new members by commenting on their welcome posts and introducing yourself as a CFS Health Mentor.
  • Keep an eye out for negative venting or concerning posts inside the Facebook group and flag them to the CFS Health admins. Don't worry, this is something we’ll train you on, so you’ll know exactly what to look out for and how to report it.

Here are the Guidelines…

Think of the Mentor role as a soft bumper bar, gently guiding members toward helpful Hub videos while providing loving support. The CFS Health team will, of course, continue to do the heavy lifting.

To keep the Mentor role simple and to protect your time and energy, here are the guidelines we’ve put in place:

The Mentor role is not a coaching role
This means we don’t give personal advice. Instead, direct members to videos you think may be helpful or share from your own personal experience.

 No direct messaging with members
If a member contacts you directly, simply point them back to the CFS Health team. We have a training with helpful reply templates for these situations, so you’ll know exactly what to say—no thinking required on your side!

Your role is to inspire, encourage, and direct
You’re very welcome to share words of encouragement and support, your personal stories, and what has or hasn’t worked for you.

You are not expected to go beyond your capacity
This role is designed to fit into your life, with the flexibility to contribute in a way that works for you.

Next Steps

If you’re in, we’d love to have you! 🎉

  1. Let us know!
Send an email to Ash at [email protected] letting her know you’d love to join the CFS Health Mentor Crew.
  2. Watch Toby’s video (above).
  3. Get started!
Your complimentary program access will begin as soon as you let us know you’d like to become a Mentor!

Keep an eye out for an email from Ash with everything you need to get started, including a link to sign your official Mentor Agreement, complimentary program access, and access to the special CFS Health Mentor Hub and Mentors Facebook Group.

Once you’ve accepted the invitation, Ash will connect you with Julie Smith, our Lead Mentor, who will be your point person from there. Julie will help get you oriented to the Mentor role and guide you through the orientation process, including the videos and resources designed to help you step into your new role with confidence.

One important note
