When I went through chronic fatigue syndrome myself, I made a pactâŚ
I was born full of energy. When my mum was pregnant with me it was the most energy she ever had in her life.
I was always on the go, never wanting to sit still.
Going into my teenage years, I put a lot of my energy into sports. Playing high level basketball. I trained or played morning and night, 14 times per week.
My goal was to become a professional basketball player.
Until my world came crashing down.
I got struck down by Glandula fever, but at the time I thought it was just a bad cold so I pushed through.
No pain no gain was my motto. I pushed harder.
Six months went by and I was getting worse. I would play a game of sport and be in bed for the rest of the week to recover and do it all again.

I was in bed 16-18 hours a day. I lost 20kgs of muscle and became extremely deconditioned.
I stopped school, I stopped sport. I couldn't socialise. In fact my entire life stopped.
At this point I was in bed 16-18 hours a day.
Doing any small task felt like running a marathon. Which was hard because running used to be easy, now walking out of the house felt impossible.
Then came a turning point. After trying 100s of quick fix solutions that didn't work.
I discovered a 4 week rehabilitation program for CFS.
It worked on physically reconditioning the body, slowing working on improving my cognition. Working on nutrition and sleep regime/ routine and structure
After four weeks I noticed improvement.

When I was extremely sick I wrote down on a piece of paper that one day when I got better I would make sure I helped as many people get better as possible. To make sure no one else would have to go through what I went through alone.
I went on to study health and fitness as this was what helped me get better.
At the same time I was knocking on doctors doors telling doctors that recovery was possible and that it was through rehabilitation process not through a pill.
Most laughed but one doctor believed in me.
I worked as a health coach helping hundreds of clients from all over Australia, then UK and then Europe. Helping people get better from all ages and backgrounds.
